The Statistical Physics and Thermodynamics Division of the Mexican Physical Society invites students, postdocs, researchers, and professors to attend the LIII Winter Meeting on Statistical Physics which will be held at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa, Ciudad de México, Mexico from January 7th - 10th, 2025.
The purpose of the meeting is to bring together the national community of scientists working on statistical physics and related areas, exchange knowledge and results, and discuss new lines of research. We also invite internationally recognized scientists who have made fundamental contributions in their respective fields.
The call for abstracts is now open. We welcome all topics related to fundamental and applied statistical physics and thermodynamics, including but NOT limited to:
- General and mathematical aspects of statistical physics,
- Quantum fluids,
- Condensed matter,
- Non-linear physics,
- Soft matter,
- Biological physics,
- Disordered and glassy systems,
- Interdisciplinary complex systems,
- Out-of-equilibrium systems,
This provides the opportunity to exchange ideas between national and foreign colleagues in an inclusive, pleasant, and relaxed environment.
The main program will consist of plenary lectures given by selected invited speakers who present, in a non-technical way the "state of the art" in their fields of study, as well as their main contributions to the field. The attendees will have the opportunity to submit abstracts to present either a contributed talk or a poster and share with the community their current developing research.
The deadline for abstract submission is October 10th, 2024 extended to October 27th, 2024.
Any inquiries can be submitted directly to one of the organizers:
